Curtis Wilkie

Curtis Wilkie was the inaugural senior fellow for the Overby Center and taught as an adjunct professor in the University of Mississippi School of Journalism and New Media. As a reporter for the Boston Globe, he developed a national reputation as an outstanding political reporter covering presidential campaigns. He served for a time as Washington bureau chief for the Globe and in the mid-1980s was Middle East bureau chief for the paper. He is the author of several books, including “The Fall of the House of Zeus: The Rise and Ruin of America's Most Powerful Trial Lawyer,” his portrayal of Richard F. "Dickie" Scruggs, and “Dixie: A Personal Odyssey Through Events That Shaped the Modern South.” He became a national figure when he was featured in Timothy Crouse’s classic book about the 1972 presidential campaign, “The Boys on the Bus.” He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and lives in Oxford, Miss.
